The Library will be closed Monday February 17 in observance of Presidents Day!

There is still room to sign up for our “Speed” Scrabble Tournament

Call the library at 507-616-7420, comment, or message to sign up!

February 22nd, 2025 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Teams of 2 players (you can sign up individually)
Up to 10 teams (20 players total)
Each team will play 5 scrabble rounds
Time Limit is 25 minutes for each round
Challenges: In a single challenge, an opposing team can challenge a word without penalty, and if the word is valid, it stays on the board. If not valid that team will have to remove their word and lose that turn. For a challenge, please stop the clock and you will have a total of 5 minutes to verify word. You will only have 1 challenge per round. So all rounds should end within 30 minutes.
Scoring: Each player will keep track of their own score. Teams are ranked by the number of combined games they win. If teams have the same number of wins, a tie is broken by total points of the team’s 5 rounds. Score your matches the same, total points minus total points of tiles left.
Pairings will be displayed by team numbers.
