The Redwood Falls Public Library building was completed in 1996. Due to Covid, the 25-year recognition is scheduled for Thursday, January 27 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Our display of information and photos that led to our new building will be on display all week.

When the plans began, an anonymous donor contributed $525,000 provided the community could match the funds. With the motto “It Can Be Done”, the community and library supporters proved it truly could be done. This led to the entire project requiring no taxpayer dollars. It was later learned that our generous donor was Martin Ehlers.
As years have passed, it has become more and more evident that the earlier books are in the hands of children, the more success they will see throughout their lives. We feel libraries are an important part of not only communities, but education as well.
